Join or renew your AAPA membership online!

Starting in 2023, dues will increase to $45 for regular members and $20 for students.

We’re also trying out a new membership management platform called Join It. Join It can collect your dues payment online and if you choose, process your dues renewals automatically. Once you pay, you can create a username and password and can update your contact information on your own.

A note about memberships

Per the AAPA Bylaws, memberships run from January 1 to December 31 of every calendar year. Dues must be paid before the Annual Meeting to hold an active membership status for the current year.

I’d like to renew my dues or update my contact information

Simply click “Manage your membership” to be redirected to our membership platform. If you haven’t created an account in our new system yet, enter your email address associated with us, and our system will guide you through making an account. If you’ve logged in before, you’ll be able to edit your contact information and save a credit card to automatically renew your dues.

I’d like to purchase an AAPA membership for someone else

Our membership website allows you to pay dues on behalf of members. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit our membership site at https://app.joinit.com/o/aapa-membership/gifts.
  2. Select the membership type you’d like to purchase for the recipient. Usually, this will be “Professional” or “Student.” You’ll be directed to a form to complete your purchase.
  3. In the second box of the form, you can click the “Switch to one-time” link if you’d like to make a one-time, instead of recurring, annual dues payment:
  1. Under “Gift a Membership” type your name and email address.
  2. Under “Member Information” enter the recipient’s name and email address. If you are registering on behalf of a new member, feel free to enter as much contact information as you have.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Proceed to Payment.” A box will appear with space to enter your card information. Once complete, click “Join” to process your payment.
  4. If you need a receipt, please email us at and we’ll forward it to you as soon as possible. The recipient can also download the receipt from their AAPA Join It account following these instructions.
